(We admit it…we’re overachievers!)
We know your home is likely your most valuable asset. Understanding this, we take our role as your home inspector seriously. It is our job to give you the information you need to make great decisions throughout all stages of home ownership.
To help us be the best home inspectors in the triangle (Raleigh to Durham to Wake Forest), we go far above and beyond the minimum requirements to be licensed in North Carolina. Keep reading for more about the accreditations and continuing education requirements met by our home inspector team.
Licensed by North Carolina
In order to perform home inspections in North Carolina, we’re required to be licensed by the state. The NC Standards of Practice focus on health, safety, maintenance items, and high dollar items. We go far beyond the NC minimum requirements with more time, technology, evaluation items, pictures…all to give you more information about your home!
Field-tested by AHIT
Certification by the American Home Inspectors Training Institute means our inspectors receive over 120 field testing hours before their first solo inspection. We’re not just book smart. We’re trained by the best for quality inspections.
Held to the highest standards by InterNACHI
The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) requires certified inspectors to prove their knowledge in classes including HVAC, roofing, plumbing, as well as Code of Ethics.
Certified for Radon
Our inspectors undergo special training and certification by InterNACHI to evaluate Radon in your home. Our advanced measurements and advice help you assess if mitigation is required or how well your existing system is performing.
Certified for Infrared Analysis
We’re also certified by InterNACHI to use the latest in infrared thermal imaging cameras for an in-depth evaluation of the interior walls and ceilings of your home. This identifies moisture damage, gaps in insulation, and efficacy of heating/cooling ducts.
Move-In Certified Professional Inspectors
We’re part of InterNACHI’s Move-In Certified program where sellers pre-inspect their home to confirm no major systems are in need of immediate repair or replacement and there are no known safety hazards. It’s a win-win: sellers get top dollar while avoiding last minute negotiations or closing delays, and buyers can feel confident in the home’s condition before submitting an offer.
FAA Licensed Drone Pilots
Being a sUAS (Small Unmanned Aircraft System) pilot means we’re experienced in the operation of drones to evaluate and record the condition of your roof, gutters and chimney systems. We’re also fully insured and operate our drones with safety in mind.
